Responsibilities:

• Own and deliver high impactful data-related projects.
• Translate client needs into data and systems requirements.
• Build, test and maintain databases, data pipelines and data environments.
• Suggest improvements to existing data systems for greater safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for improved or new data sources.
• Present results to key stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
• Keep constant and genuine discussions with stakeholders at all stages of projects.

Qualifications:

• Experience designing and building data-related systems involving databases, pipelines and workflow management tools.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven coding ability with Python and SQL (experience in Java, C++ or Scala is an asset).
• Understanding of software development and data-related technologies and concepts including REST API, MapReduce, Spark, NoSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Degree in in Computer Science, Information Systems or related Technical Discipline.
